How to make an good ol’ guacamole!

So one day I decided to be all heathy and bought a whole bunch of avacados! I had no idea what to do with them but I knew they were superfoods and I needed to incorporate them into our lives… so I went to Pinterest and that was all she wrote! I altered the recipie to meet my family’s taste buds but hey…here you go!


4 ripe avacados

1 medium lime
1/2 tsp kosher salt

1/2 tsp cumin

1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

1/2 medium diced onion

2 small Roma tomatos seeded and diced (never by any seedless fruit or veggies…I’ll explain later)

1 garlic clove minced 

1tsp fresh cilantro chopped 

1 tablespoon jalapeños (optional)

First thing is first…make sure your avacados are ripe! There’s nothing worse than an unripe or over ripe avacado.

Once you check them then go ahead and mash them. I use my kitchen aid. Make sure that the texture is one you like. No one wants a lumpy quac.

Next add you diced onions, tomatoes and jalapeños (I only add those when the kids aren’t eating it)

Then your seasonings. Squeez a little lime juice over the top and garnish.

Put in refrigerator for an hour to chill and bam! You’re done!
